Bright sunny days are making the snow recede very quickly. Here, the music of spring is the sound of running water.

I combine two uninspired images in one post…

This was the best I could do, standing upright to take the picture. And the banana was the only food that didn’t make me feel nauseous just looking at it.

Already, post games withdrawal has set in. Don’t we need another occasion to wave the flag and flaunt our stereotypes?

I wondered what a photo of the streetlight would look like in dark. Now I know. I actually really dislike streetlights. They are a major source of light pollution and this one is right outside my window. One of the many things I miss about living out in the countryside is darkness.

The shape of this particular light reminds me of “The Chronicles of Narnia” for some reason. While this particular lamp is surrounded by snow, it is one of several and I’ve seen no talking animals or White Witches around its base. If there were, I’d have a little more respect for it.

The cousins share a joke. It was a good one. You had to be there.

If you’ve forgotten how much fun a snowy winter day can be (and that’s easy to do) take a toddler outside. The problem with growing up is that it takes such effort to see through a child’s eyes.

With energy for little else this morning (did I mention I have a cold?), I sat and did some planning.  If you’ve never heard of ‘Getting Things Done’ it’s a planning system that is really worth checking out.

One of the most important elements of the system is the weekly review. So I sat and decided what I wanted to accomplish this week, planned the ‘next-actions’. It’s only February, but I’m already planning the gardening for next summer. The gardens here are quite a mess, so there is a lot to do. I sat and planned exactly what I wanted to include in the vegetable garden. Then I figured out what I needed to sew two blinds for the rec room windows. So for  a low energy morning, I was able to accomplish quite a bit.
