The Sunnidale Winterama is an event we always look forward to. The spaghetti dinner, parade, silent auction and many other activities all help to pass an otherwise dreary winter weekend. Here are photos from the 2009 parade.

If you’re looking for information about the 2010 Winterama, Clearview Township has a schedule of activities posted. The parade theme appears to be cartoon Olympics.

The 2010 Winter Olympic Games site has two photos from the torch relay through Creemore. The torch route included CFB Borden, Alliston, and Angus among other communities on Day 61 of the relay. Creemore Springs Brewery is also featured in an article on the Olympic site about the micro-brewery, now owned by Molsons.

And here is a bit of trivia. Did you know horse sports were included in the Winter Olympics? Both racing and ski jouring were equestrian events in past Winter Olympics. Check out my Horses About.com Blog for more on this.

I haven’t found any webcams in the immediate New Lowell area. The lack of high-speed internet service is probably the reason. Here are a few webcams within about 30km of the village. If you want to check out the conditions down the 400 Hwy, the webcams are handy if you’re heading for the city.
